If you are looking for a way to display flowers in a fresh and unique way, I have a great project for you! This is a very easy craft project and very cheap as well!

I love flowers and it’s so nice having lots of little jars placed around the house with a few flowers in each. To be able to achieve this I have started creating my own jars from items that are readily available in the home!

I can never throw out anything that I think might be useful, so I always have a ready collection of wine bottles, tins and jars. Start collecting anything that you think could make a nice vase. It doesn’t matter what it looks like now, as long as it has a nice shape.

Soak these overnight in detergent to remove any sticky residue and all labels.
Dry thoroughly and now it’s time to decorate.

You will need a puff paint pen, something that is going to create sufficient texture. The next part is the most fun – start decorating on your new vases. You can write people’s names, these would make beautiful place settings for a party or a wedding! Another idea is to draw a little picture, some love hearts or flowers or just make a geometric pattern. Whatever suits your own personal style!

Once the puff paint has dried, take them outside and start spray painting with your chosen colors. Black and white always looks good or you could go with a selection of pastel or fluorescent colors.

Let them dry completely and then you will have some brand new vases, what a wonderful look for your home or next party!

These are such a unique item and would make beautiful and unique gifts for special friends and family.
