Categorized: vehicles | No comments

Our car’s dashboard is an integral part of our car which is normally exposed to the sunlight and hence the damage caused to it is comparatively more than the other interior parts. Hence we need to take good care of our car’s dashboard with suitable cleaner and protectant. There are lots of my friends who are really careless about this section of the car, so this post is all about cleaning and maintaining our car’s dashboard.

Cleaning and maintain car dashboard is an important part of a complete auto detailing process. As you must be aware that majority of the car’s dashboards are either plastic or vinyl which makes them more vulnerable to cracks, damage from the sunlight etc. First of all you need to vacuum the car’s dashboard and check closely if there is any extra dirt left to be removed. In case you find some dust around then you can also use toothbrush or microfiber cloth or a cotton swab for this purpose.

The next step is to use a damp microfiber cloth and wipe the area once again to remove the dirt completely. Stubborn stains on the dashboard may also require an interior auto cleaning solution in order to get rid of it completely. For this, you are required to just follow the instructions provided on the auto interior cleaning solution; once it is done you need to dry the dashboard with a microfiber cloth.

Once the dashboard section is completely free from the dust and already dry you are required to apply vinyl protectant in order to protect the dashboard from the damaging sun rays. These protectants normally contain UV protectant which prevents the color of our dashboard from fading. I also use the dashboard polish to make it shine and to maintain the shiny look of my dashboard I always prefer using a duster.

Just follow the above steps and be rest assured that your car’s dashboard will not only look clean but also shiny! When you are done, remember to learn other car interior cleaning techniques from Auto Detailing House. Apply the same care on other parts of your car. Car interiors that look new and shiny always give people a good impression. It is easy and low cost to maintain.
